The AKTRIN Textile Information Center was founded in 1985, with the purpose of publishing economic reports and marketing studies about the global textile industry. Over the years, the company has accumulated one of the largest collections of reports and statistical data concerning this business sector.
The AKTRIN Textile Information Center has gained a solid reputation for the depth of its studies and their relevance in addressing current business concerns. The company is widely recognized as an authority on all textile related matters by the media, governments and business leaders. The AKTRIN Textile Information Center maintains its head office in Canada. Regional offices are in the USA and Germany. We closely collaborate with several associates and universities, with whom AKTRIN maintains long-standing working relationships. Our network of associates extends over the entire North-American continent, Europe and Asia.
Founder and President
Stefan WILLE, , Ph.D., F.I.C.B., earned his degree in Economics and Business Administration at the Universities of Toronto and Zurich, Switzerland. In 1979, he became a "Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers".
Dr. Wille was a Professor at Laurentian University teaching advanced courses in international economics. Subsequently, and prior to founding The AKTRIN Textile Information Center, he held a variety of executive positions in banking and industry, both in North America and overseas.
Dr. Wille has served on the board of directors of numerous companies and institutions.
